It’s not on any of the charts.

After the Millennium Falcon emerges from hyperspace, Han is shocked and exclaims, “What the…? Aw, we’ve come out of hyperspace into a meteor shower. Some kind of asteroid collision. It’s not on any of the charts.”

Within moments, Han and crew speculate that the meteor shower is the remnants of Alderaan and that the Empire is at fault.

Human maps and charts are constantly changing as new information is gathered. God knows all about the land and the sky since Genesis 1:1 records that “God created the heavens and the earth,” and Genesis 1:9 “And God said, ‘Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear.’ And it was so.”

God knows everything there is to know about the earth and heavens. Psalm 147:4 reads, “He [the LORD] determines the number of the stars; He gives to all of them their names.”

When we are without direction in our lives, we need to trust and rest in the Lord to know He knows where we are and where He wants us to be.

In Ephesians 2:10, we read that “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

Just as Jeremiah 29:10-11 tells us, “For thus says the Lord: When 70 years are completed for Babylon, I will visit you, and I will fulfill to you My promise and bring you back to this place. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Sometimes, we might feel we are going in circles, but God may have appointed that time to prepare us for something He will bring about in the future.

Trust Him. He knows His plans.
