Okay. How do we blow it up?

In TFA, the Resistance is facing another Death Star-like superweapon, Star Killer. Having been a part of destroying one superweapon, Han is calm and pragmatically states, “Okay. How do we blow it up? There’s always a way to do that.”

It is difficult to imagine Han being the sensible one in the room, yet he was. His pragmatic approach to the situation allowed for a solution to present itself.

When we are faced with a huge problem or test, we need to be calm and remember that there is always a way out.

When we face a massive problem in our lives, as believers, can go to God and ask Him for wisdom as James 1:27 tells us, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”

In Matthew 19:26, Jesus was replying to the disciples’ question about salvation when He said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” There will be some problems that we face that we cannot solve, yet God can. To do so, He waits for us to turn it over to Him.

When we are tested or tempted, we need to cling to what Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13, “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation, He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”

So when we are being tested and think there is no escape, we need to remember that “there’s always a way to do that.”

And remember James 1:13, which tells us, “Let no one say when he is tempted, ‘I am being tempted by God,’ for God cannot be tempted with evil, and He Himself tempts no one.”

God will always provide a way for us to overcome.
