Having just saved the Queen from the Federation’s droid army, Qui-Gon tells her, “The situation here is not what it seems. There is something else behind all this, Your Highness. There’s no logic in the Federation’s move here. My feelings tell me they will destroy you.”
Qui-Gon “knew” that something more was happening than what the eye sees and trusted his feelings and the prompting of the Force.
What do we rely on when it comes to situations where we do not know why something is happening?
We need to rely on faith. Read what Hebrews 11:1 says about faith, then read the rest of the chapter to see the faith and trials of those listed.
There are three crucial questions to ask when facing trials in our lives or when there seems to be more going on in the situation that we see.
#1: Is this happening due to our sin? If so, confess our sin to God. He is faithful and just to forgive you. 1 John 1:9.
#2. Is this happening due to a sin committed by someone else? If yes, go to them and talk with them per Matthew 18:15-17.
#3. Is this happening because of something outside of our control or understanding? If so, take comfort in knowing that we were warned about trials and tribulations coming.
Jesus told us in John 16:33, “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.
In James 1:2-3, we read, “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.”
Regardless of what happens to us, we can trust Romans 8:28 that tells us “that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.”
