Growing up I wanted to be a Jedi.
Since I couldn’t build a light saber or use the Force, I focused on be coming a martial artist. I’m now a 2nd degree black belt and Sensei (certified instructor) in Tai Chuan Do. I also searched for truth and found it in Jesus of Nazareth.
I firmly believe that Jesus is The Way, The Truth, and The Life.
I also believe that there are valuable lessons that can be learned from Star Wars. This blog will look at the movies and pull out different lessons and take-a-ways.
I also will share my take on the movies as a while.
As a person that believes Han shot first, I will tend to give more weight to the original versions and have a distaste in my mouth for the “revisions”.
I must disagree with Han when he said “I’ve flown from one side of this galaxy to the other. I’ve seen a lot of strange stuff, but I’ve never seen anything to make me believe there’s one all-powerful Force controlling everything. There’s no mystical energy field that controls my destiny. Anyway, it’s all a lot of simple tricks and nonsense.”
While God is more than the Force (I believe in monotheism and not pantheism), I think we can draw parallels to how He is in control of everything.
As Ephesians 6:12 states “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
My approach to work and life is a combination of the movies I love (Star Wars) and the books that I read (Bible-particularly Proverbs and James).
May The Lord Be With You.
