The relationship between K-2SO and Jyn was rocky from the start.
How could it not?
Their initial encounter was when the reprogrammed Imperial droid grabbed Jyn in mid-jump and threw her to the ground.
Later, K-2 was skeptical of Jyn and how she obtained a blaster when preparing for their first mission together. So when Jyn gives him a blaster as she was getting ready to go get the Death Star data tapes, K-2SO looks at her and says, “Your behavior, Jyn Erso, is continually unexpected.”
During their time together, the two of them came to an understanding.
They seemed to respect where the other came from and what they could be expected to do.
When Jyn gave K2 the blaster, it did not compute for the droid. When we become a believer, we will start doing things that our friends (and people that we have been around) will find do not fit their expectations for us.
In Acts 4, Peter and John have been brought before the “rulers and elders and scribes” (verse 5) because they had been preaching the Gospel.
Acts 4:13a records, “Now when they [the rulers, etc.] saw the boldness of Peter and John and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished.”
When we become believers, we receive the Holy Spirit. He then provides us with spiritual gifts that will enable us to do and say things that we were incapable of saying or doing before.
Scripture provides some lists that talk about spiritual gifts; Romans 12:6–8, 1 Corinthians 12:8–10, 1 Corinthians 12:28, Ephesians 4:11, and 1 Peter 4: 11.
We all receive at least one spiritual gift, which will have some telling us that our “behavior is continually unexpected.”
