Be Sure To Thank The Maker

In ANH, C3PO goes through a lot leading up to being sold back to Owen Lars.

He survived an Imperial attack, crashed landed on a back-world planet, separated from his counterpart, been “kidnapped”, and now sold into slavery.

Even with all that, he is still able to thank and praise his maker.

Praise For The Little Things

What does C3PO thank the maker for? An oil bath.

For him, “this oil bath is going to feel so good. I’ve got such a bad case of dust contamination, I can barely move!”

Even in a lousy situation, C3PO can still find something to praise his maker.

We are told in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Psalm 121:2 tells us “My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.”

We should thank God for the big and little things in our lives.

When we do not know what to thank God for, the first thing we should do is check to see if we have a pulse. If so, thank Him for it. If not, believers will be in His presence so we can thank and praise Him for that.

Another way to thank God is to read through various Scriptures. The book of Psalms has many psalms and verses we can read.
Psalm 136:1 tells us to “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.”

The rest of the song provides reason after reason why the Lord is good and why we should give thanks.

Join with Me to Spread the Gospel

This post is a modified version of a devotional from my upcoming devotional book.

As millions of kids, teens, and young adults face a world that is rapidly removing any trace of Judeo-Christian values from the culture, there is still hope to reach them.

The Gospel is for all people and throughout all time.

You can help the next generation learn about the Gospel by using Star Wars.

There are valuable lessons that can be learned from Star Wars. My devotional book looks at the live-action Star Wars movies (Episodes I to IX, Rogue One, and Solo) and pull out different lessons and take-a-ways.

If you wish to join me in using Star Wars to share the faith, please consider purchasing the daily devotion I am published in November 2019.
