The situation here is not what it seems.

In The Phantom Menace, right after saving Queen Amidala, Qui-Gon tells her, “The situation here is not what it seems. There is something else behind all this, Your Highness.”

Qui-Gon knew that something more was happening than what the eye saw.

There is plenty that our eyes cannot see. What do the verses from Ephesians 6:12 and 1 Peter 5:8 tell us?

Our true adversary is not a person, governments, or politicians. Our adversary is the Devil, the accuser of the believers.

We should not rush to see the Devil behind every corner. It is realistic to believe that the decline in our society is not an incident. There is something else behind it.

The Devil is working through the hearts of men, through politics, and through governments to bring about his desired plans for this world.

What are those plans? To devour the believer and push them away from God.

What are things happening in our lives that do not make sense?

Could these things be the results of our sin or because of someone else’s sin?

Or could this be the work of the Devil?

We know God is in control of everything, but God allowed things to happen to His people, Israel, throughout Israel’s history.

God is ultimately in control of everything.

Sometimes God acts specifically in history, and sometimes God withholds His hand of protection and allows things to happen.

The situation here is not what it seems.
