After discussing the security threat against her and how Obi-Wan and Anakin are there to help, Padmé excuses herself and leaves the room.
Anakin complains to Jar Jar about how Padmé does not recognize him and how she has completely forgotten him.
Obi-Wan replies, "You're focusing on the negative, Anakin. Be mindful of your thoughts. She was pleased to see us."
People see life along a continuum ranging from total pessimism to total optimism.
Anakin is near the total pessimism end. What about us?
Do we focus on what is wrong with the world to the exclusion of what is right?
Do we focus on sinful or sinless living?
Paul admonishes believers in Philippians 4:8 "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."
Obi-Wan was right. We all need to be mindful of our thoughts.
In the KJV of 2 Corinthians 10:5, we read, "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ."
We are told to bring every thought into captivity. We are to control our thoughts.
How do we do that? We fill our minds with what Paul told us in Philippians 4:8 and by memorizing Scripture.
By internalizing the good, we can begin to have good thoughts.
