Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis

“Did you ever hear the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?”

With this, Palpatine tells Anakin, “He had such a knowledge of the Dark Side, he could even keep the ones he cared about… from dying.”

In the 11 Star Wars movies that have come out so far, we have not seen a Force user be able to “influence the midi-chlorians to create life” or “to keep the ones he cared about from dying.”

It is possible that this was just a ruse by Palpatine to initiate Anakin’s conversion to the Dark Side.

We, as believers, know that God can and has created life out of nothing (Genesis 1:1-27).

We also know that “since we have the same spirit of faith according to what has been written, ‘I believed, and so I spoke,’ we also believe, and so we also speak, knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and bring us with you into his presence.” (2 Corinthians 4:13-14)

We know this to be true since in John 11:23, “Jesus said to her [Martha], ‘Your brother [Lazarus] will rise again.'”

A little time after this conversation with Martha, Jesus would show He is “the resurrection and the life” (John 11:25).

John 11:43-44a records that “When he had said these things, he [Jesus] cried out with a loud voice, ‘Lazarus, come out.’ The man who had died came out.”

In Acts 2:23-24, we read, “this Jesus, delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men. God raised Him up, losing the pangs of death because it was not possible for Him to be held by it.”

Jesus, in His resurrected body, rose to heaven, as recorded in Acts 1:9-11. As believers, we serve a God who can create life and raise the dead.
