First Order wins by making us think we’re alone. We’re not alone.

As the Resistance plans to attack the Final Order’s fleet on Exegol, the mood is pessimistic.

Poe tells them, “We’ve got friends out there. They’ll come if they know there’s hope… First Order wins by making us think we’re alone. We’re not alone. Good people will fight if we lead them.”

Sin wins in our lives by making us think we are alone and that we are evil, wretched creatures. We are none of these.

As believers, we are never alone.

Jesus promised us in Matthew 28:20 that He would be with us to the end of this age.

Additionally, Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit. In John 14:16, Jesus said, “And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, to be with you forever.”

Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13, “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”

Jesus is the Head of the Church (Ephesians 4:15, Ephesians 5:23, and Colossians 1:18).

If we are part of the body, the Church, Jesus is the One to lead us.

He has led us to victory over sin and death already. This is recorded in 1 Corinthians 15:56-57, “The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

The war is over, but the battles each day remains.

Jesus told us in Luke 9:23, “If anyone would come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me,” so we will submit ourselves daily to His leadership.

First Order wins by making us think we're alone. We're not alone.
