It [the Force] binds the galaxy together.

While Obi-Wan is explaining the Force to Luke, Obi-Wan says, “It [the Force] binds the galaxy together.”

It is hard not to help but think of how Jesus is the one who indeed holds not just our galaxy but the entire universe together.

Colossians 1:17 tells us, “He [Jesus] is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”

We can only imagine the power it takes to hold every atom in the universe together.

Think about the power of a small firecracker exploding. Or a stick of dynamite. Then consider that the atomic bombs dropped in WW II were equal to between 15,000 and 20,000 TONS of TNT.

Since Jesus has the power to hold all things together, what is impossible for Him? Nothing.

What is in our lives that we need help with?

We all have our own areas of need. Once that we all have in common is our need to overcome sin.

Jesus can help take away our sin (Hebrews 1:1-4, John 1:29, Romans 10:9-13).

While we are forgiven of all of our sins because of Jesus, sometimes we will still struggle.

Take heart in knowing that we are not alone.

Look at the Apostle Paul’s experience. He writes in 2 Corinthians 12:7-9 “So to keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from becoming conceited. Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

We, like Paul, need to rest in God’s power.

It [the Force] binds the galaxy together.
