Just hold on to me. Don’t look back.

As Han and Qi’Ra are trying to escape from the controlled zone on Corellia, they are being hunted down by Lady Praxima’s minions, who have the Storm Trooper at the spaceport helping them.

Han and Qi’Ra are rushing through the crowd when Han tells her to “Just hold on to me. Don’t look back.”

Unfortunately for both of them, they are separated at the security door when the officer they bribed only let Han through before shutting the door.

The implied promise that Han was making to Qi’Ra was that if she held onto Han, he would get her out safely. That did not happen. Often people will promise things that they cannot deliver on, but there is One who is faithful and true, and His name is Jesus (see Revelations 19:11).

In John 10:27-30, Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”

Jesus tells us to just hold onto Him and not to look back. “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62.

We can trust He to deliver us from all our troubles since Psalm 55:22 tells us, “Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved.”

No security door can be closed on believers, separating us from God.

Romans 8:38-39 is clear, “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Walk today in the confidence that once we belong to Jesus, we will be with Him for all times.
