Remember, the Force will be with you, always.

In ANH, right after Luke has successfully blown up the Death Star and saved the Rebel base, he hears (in his mind) Obi-Wan say to him, “Remember, the Force will be with you, always.”

Luke’s training, although brief, allowed him to connect with the Force and use its power. Obi-Wan was no longer physically with him. We know that Obi-Wan did visit Luke later and did leave him some training practices to continue to work on.

As believers, we know that Jesus promised, “I am with you always, to the end of the age,” Matthew 28:20b.

In John 14:18,26, Jesus says to us, “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you… the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.”

As believers, our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. In 1 Corinthians 6:19, Paul tells us, “do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own.”

Romans 8:9-11 teaches, “You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact, the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to Him. But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”

We know that God is with us each day. How, then, do the Holy Spirit and Jesus make their presence known in our daily lives?

What are ways that God speaks to us each day?

He can speak through Scripture, circumstances, wise counsel, fellow believers, and in so many more ways. Are we listening?
